Employment Equity
The Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity and Search Compliance Unit within the Office of Institutional Equity is responsible for:
- Ensuring the University’s compliance with state Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EEO) rules and regulations.
- Preparing state affirmative action plans for Storrs & Regionals and UConn Health, and required demographic reports.
- Monitoring the University’s search and hire process to ensure nondiscrimination based on protected classes and compliance with AA/EEO regulations.
- Providing search committee education and training on recruitment, applicant evaluation, non-discriminatory interviewing, and selection.
