Search committee members are required to complete search committee training before serving on a committee. The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE), in conjunction with the Office for Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) facilitate training workshops providing information about AA/EEO compliance search process steps and overcoming implicit bias in the search and hire process. In-person Search Committee Training sessions are currently paused due to COVID-19. An online module is currently available. The 45-minute online module fulfills the training requirement.

Search committee training attendance is not tracked in PageUp. Employees can verify their training status in the Learning @ Work portal.
Search committee training status will be verified prior to interview approval. Search committee members who have attended training after August 2014 have been given credit for their attendance.
