Employment Equity
The Equal Employment Opportunity and Search Compliance Team within the Office of Institutional Equity is responsible for:
- Ensuring the University’s compliance with state Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (AA/EEO) rules and regulations.
- Monitoring the University’s search and hire process to ensure nondiscrimination based on protected classes and compliance with AA/EEO regulations.
- Providing search committee education and training on recruitment, applicant evaluation, non-discriminatory interviewing, and selection.
- Preparing state affirmative action plans for Storrs & Regionals and UConn Health, and required demographic reports.
- Prepare federal affirmative action plans for Individuals with Disabilities and Veterans as required by VEVRAA and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974 for Storrs & Regionals and UConn Health.
