As the Title IX Compliance and Education Specialist, Jess Holman plays a significant role in the University’s coordinated response, prevention and education initiatives pursuant to Title IX and related statutes and regulations. Jess joined the Office for Inclusion and Civil Rights (Formerly, Office of Institutional Equity) in October 2025 to support UConn’s ongoing commitment to create and maintain a campus environment free form all forms of discrimination and harassment, including all forms of sexual harassment and violence.

Jess’s professional experiences and academic studies related to gender-based violence prevention and response reflect her passion for building healthier, safer, and more respectful communities. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in Student Development in Higher Education and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University’s Honors College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Professional Writing and Women and Gender Studies.
