Alyssa joined the OIE team in August 2023 as the Title IX Compliance and Education Specialist. She assists the Title IX Coordinator with case compliance and developing educational and training initiatives for students, staff, and faculty related to Title IX matters.

Throughout her career, Alyssa has provided violence prevention and trauma-informed training to over 2,500 students, staff, and faculty at various universities and non-profits, including training medical staff, law enforcement, and state representatives. Prior to joining UConn, Alyssa worked as the Community Outreach and Education Coordinator at New Horizons Domestic Violence Services, where her primary responsibilities included overseeing the development of all education and training, research, and community outreach initiatives. Alyssa has served on several committees, including the Greater Middletown Health Equity Committee, the Wesleyan University Title IX Resource Network Committee, and the Shoreline Legislative Task Force.

Alyssa earned her Master of Arts at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and her Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she graduated summa cum laude.
